New goodies

I've finally found some time to take photos of my new range of wall decorations, hooray! These are all laser cut from bamboo, a renewable and sustainable wood, then I've painted them in bright colours and hung them using 100% cotton string.

I wanted to make a range of renter-friendly homewares that will brighten up any space. All of these wall hangings can hang from a single pin so there's no damage to walls (except a tiny pin hole).

Ofcourse all my new goods are bird themed, I drew a flying bird silhouette and used it to make bunting and single bird wall hangings, and also some feathers that hang like garland. I set up the mantlepiece in my home to take product shots with other bird-related props, I always have fun styling these shoots and editing the photos although sometimes it's a long process.

I've also recently listed a couple of new prints, the first is a Monoprint, it's a simple but effective print of two birds overlapping, and the second is an experimental typography print. I have invested in my own printer that produces gallery quality archival prints and I can use the paper of my choice, which I chose Hahnemuhle Bamboo Paper, for it's eco-friendly properties and it's such a lovely textured paper.

By my next post I aim to have some new gift tags and some more new designs to share. I've still got some cushions in the pipeline that I need to find eco-friendly inners for. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy the Easter break and I hope everyone else does too!
