Titipounamu are tiny birds, they are only 8cm long and weigh just 6 grams! They form a very strong bond with their mate and they will spend their days side by side, foraging together communicating constantly with high pitched calls. They are delightful little birds to watch as they tip toe through the forest together in search of insects. Female titipounamu have brown and yellow streaked plumage whereas males have bright green colouring, they both have a pale grey underbelly.

This art print is based on an original hand-painted gouache artwork. Each print is created with long-lasting matte pigment inks on textured, high quality archival 100% cotton rag paper.
