Dawn kōkako features a North Island kōkako perched on a branch with an epiphyte.

Kōkako are a stunning grey forest bird, famous for their haunting, melodic and soulful song. They are reasonably large but don’t fly long distances, instead they hop from branch to branch, using their strong legs to bounce through the forest. This print is inspired by dawn adventures in the Kaharoa forest - an amazing patch of bush where kōkako are living wild.

This art print is based on an original hand-painted gouache artwork. Each print is created with long-lasting matte pigment inks on textured, high quality archival 100% cotton rag paper.
