Kererū pair features a pair of our most beloved native birds, the kererū.

Kererū are distinctively large, beautifully coloured native pigeons. They are mostly silent when perched amongst the trees, except for a ‘coo’ to their mate if they are nearby. Kererū are given a rather unfair clumsy label as they are often seen crash landing into trees but they are incredibly graceful in flight. These big beauties are very important to the future of our native forests as they are a keystone species for spreading the seeds of native trees and plants.

This art print is based on an original hand-painted gouache artwork. Each print is created with long-lasting matte pigment inks on textured, high quality archival 100% cotton rag paper.
